JUCHEM FOOD INGREDIENTS GMBH produces premium powders made of liquid fats and emulsifiers – and it does so without chemical additives and only using the purely physical Frijet process developed by Franz Josef Juchem. To ensure consistently optimal quality and availability of our products, cold air counter-current or co-current is used depending on the planned usage.
Fat powder
We use the finest fat powder as a premium ingredient for the food industry. All JFI fat powders are shelf-stable and can be used in a variety of convenience products. They are used as flavour carriers, crystallization starters in chocolate, and to reduce powder formation in spices. They are vegan, kosher, halal and can be used for plant-based meat substitute products.
Emulsifiers
Many foods such as ice cream, margarine or sweets would not even exist without emulsifiers. JUCHEM FOOD INGREDIENTS GMBH produces lecithin powder made of plant oils on carriers and monoglycerides in different refinement grades for the food industry.

Our patented Frijet process allows for 100 % clean, liquid fat and emulsifiers to be sprayed at a microfine level. The particle size can be adjusted to the product. Furthermore, spraying can be performed with or without a carrier material, if desired. It is also possible to mix the fat powder after spraying. JFI is the only manufacturer to offer organic palm stearin, shea butter stearin and cocoa butter in powder form.

Contract-based spraying – contract production of fat powders and emulsifier powders in various degrees of fineness with and without the carriers.
JUCHEM FOOD INGREDIENTS offers customers contract-based spraying of all fats and fat-like products with a melting point of 40 °C or higher. Tailor-made recipes are just as possible as mixing in of dry materials or spraying onto them. Two towers provide an annual production capacity of 15,000 tonnes. Packaging is available in sacks and cardboard boxes with a weight of 15, 20, and 25 kg and in 500 and 1,000 kg big bags.
EMULSIFIERS

JUCHEM FOOD INGREDIENTS’ premium emulsifiers are indispensable in the food industry. Since they form a bond between two ingredients that cannot be mixed with each other, they make the production of most industrial foods possible. Furthermore, JFI emulsifiers are available in organic quality and are exceptionally fine, which reduces the amount of emulsifier required to produce food.

As a provider of stable emulsifying powders, we also supply customers with small purchase quantities that are not sufficient for liquid delivery. Furthermore, JFI offers exceptionally fine emulsifier powders with a 70 % particle ratio at a size <63 µm. These microfine powders significantly reduce the amount of emulsifier needed during food production.

JUCHEM FOOD INGREDIENTS offer the food industry premium monoglyceride powders for different applications. Our fine or course monoglycerides are used as emulsifiers in the production of baked goods or pastry products, chocolate, margarine, baby food, cocoa powder, milk powder, potato purée, rice, and pasta. They prevent the formation of foam in the production of jams and jellies.

Fat powders are indispensable for making numerous convenience products taste good. They are used in all dry soups and sauces, act as a crystallisation starter in chocolate and flavour carrier and they reduce dust in spices.
JUCHEM FOOD INGREDIENTS can spray fats at a microfine level thanks to the patented Frijet process. If requested, we can also spray onto carriers such as flour and – upon customer request – create a mix with additional ingredients after spraying. Furthermore, we are the only manufacturer to offer organic palm stearin, shea butter stearin and cocoa butter fat powder.
Unlike liquid fats, JFI’s fat powders are storage-stable. They are versatile, can be used as flavour carriers among other things as well as to reduce dust in spices. We reduce our customers’ work steps by mixing the components and via pre-manufacturing. All factories are certified organic, halal and kosher. Furthermore, JFI fat powders are vegan and suitable for plant-based meat substitute products.
Thanks to our “Contract-based spraying” service, even companies without their own spraying towers have an affordable option to have fat powders and emulsifiers manufactured according to their specifications. They can take advantage of the latest technologies and over 50 years’ worth of know-how in spraying fats as well as in rapeseed and sunflower oil-based emulsifiers.
JFI’s lecithin powders and monoglycerides are used by JFI as surface-active ingredients in the food industry to stably combine two unmixable components such as water and oil. As such, our emulsifying powders play a crucial role in manufacturing premium margarine, vegan cheese, chocolate, ketchup, ice cream, sausage, bread, bread rolls and baked goods, waffles and much more.

Due to its low cost and various applications, palm oil comprises a third of the world’s consumption of plant oils. As a result, it is the world’s most important plant oil. Accordingly, you can find palm oil in nearly half of all supermarket products – be it in foods, cosmetics and cleaning products. Due to the consistently growing demand for palm oil, its cultivation area is also seeing consistent growth. Currently, oil palms are grown on 19 million hectares around the equator, and the natural habitats of many animals such as the orangutan are often illegally destroyed in the process. Alongside the species-rich rainforest, many plants and a part of the green lungs of our planet are rapidly disappearing.
Unfortunately, replacing palm oil with other plant oils does not solve the challenges. Due to their significantly smaller yields per area, switching to coconut, rapeseed, or sunflower oil makes the problem even worse. The solution lies in more discerning consumption of foods and products that contain palm oil and in cultivating oil palms in an environmentally friendly and socially acceptable manner. Being aware of our responsibility for man and nature, JUCHEM FOOD INGREDIENTS has been a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) – created by the World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2004 – since 2010. It is currently the most widespread standard in the palm oil industry, and JUCHEM FOOD INGREDIENTS is committed to its principles and criteria:
• Prohibit deforestation of primary forests and ecologically valuable forest areas for plantations
• Protect endangered animal and plant species on the plantation
• Protect water, soil and air (among other things, this means no burning down forests)
• Follow legal regulations, among them land usage and ownership rights
• No child labour. Instead, provide educational opportunities for the children living on the plantation
• Include and support small farmers
• Have independent, authorised auditors inspect the plantations
